Earlier in the year I did a detailed drawing of an arrangement of empty flower pots. I remember it well…it was January and dull and cloudy, and the thought of getting outside planting seeds and raising plants in warm spring sunshine seemed like a distant dream. So there I was, drawing flower pots since that was the closest I could get to gardening at the time. 😀 Yet here we are, almost at the other end of this growing season, and I find myself book-ending it with more flower pot art!
Taking that same drawing, I have painted only a portion of it but using the original values. However, instead of the rusty brown of the real pots, I decided to liven things up a bit with some brighter colours, just for fun.
